Mad Hattter

Chaos!

Alex is away for a few days and I am managing the orders. This is not good as I am a bit notoriously hopeless at anything involving organisation of this type. As we both agree, if I ran this business alone we would still have beautiful bags and the marketing would still be done - the only trouble is that few people would actually receive their orders in a timely manner! But  it's a short trip so it won't be a disaster if the more complicated orders don't go out until next week. However, as he is away for longer in the summer (talking at the Australian Tarot Association conference) it has made me realise I need to get my act together for that period.

Apart from that, well, I've actually been having a social life this week and very nice it's been. I realise that maybe Alex and I are a bit too self-sufficient and it's been good to me to arrange seeing other people. I do know some very interesting women here, it's just that I'm hopeless at actually going out and meeting up. So - this is the week for getting in touch, going to meetings (!!! - well, I discovered a branch of Stitch and Bitch here) finding new tea rooms (tea rooms are a huge Prague thing) and having some good conversations.

Oh, and arranging for our bags etc to be sold on Amazon UK. We applied, they not only accepted us but phoned and were really enthusiastic and said they love what we do and think it will go well. So setting that all up is quite a big job for me coming up in April. It'll be a bit weird - we will be sold alongside big brands I suppose. But then again, there are plenty of small non-book Amazon sellers too. Is this onwards and upwards? Well, at least in the current economy it certainly isn't downwards, which is the main thing.
