AArgh - need more time. But at least this is going well
Updated - we have changed the colouring on this card a bit - I think it's better.
________
I really, really need to find someone here to work with me - at least half-time. Alex now has Vassa which has made a huge difference. I need someone to help with emails, websites and all that stuff - so that I can do more actual designing. Oh well, it'll happen.
Meanwhile, I am really pleased with the rather filmic feel of this. It's not exactly Mina and Jonathan, but I want it to have that suggestion about it. They are far more "wet behind the ears" than a modern film-maker would make them. I really like the sugary-sweetness of the girl - and the fine upstandingness of the "gent". All about to be corrupted by the evil Count...
It's ever so slightly comic in a black way - which I think is part of this genre. True Gothic (as opposed to slasher movies and novels) has some strong cliches that almost make us laugh in recognition. But it's odd how at the same time they can be haunting - and frightening when you remember them at four in the morning.

Oh! And I've just spotted a mention of the deck at The Tarot Channel:

Thanks Janet! We are indeed working hard - but I'm through the panic stage that I tend to hit on decks ("We can't do it. it isn't going to work, we haven't enough material, we... aaaarrrggghhh....!!!" etc. I seem to need to get past that every time).
